We're at Johnny's parents for the rest of the weekend and next week. We left EARLY this morning and it wasn't the most pleasant drive. Corban is getting much less satisfied riding in the car, especially since we got him up, fed him breakfast, and put him in the car. Apparently he's had a big day though. His G-Pa and Daddy played with him outside all afternoon with his cousin Abby. Libby, Paulette and I went to get manicures and pedicures at the local beauty school. They did a pretty good job, but it was pretty comical because they were telling us the whole time how they hate to do pedicures!
Caden has really been making his presence known lately. I had a braxton hicks on the way here that made me wonder if I was going to go into labor. Libby's showing off her baby belly too, so those will be some cute pictures of Mommies and baby boys. I've only gained 10 pounds since I got pregnant, so I'm excited about that. My doctor did say something odd yesterday though, he asked which due date we were going with and when I told him the 19th, he seems really surprised b/c the sonogram had pushed it back a little bit (I see a different doctor every time I go in). Anyway, none of the other ones have said anything about it, so now I'm wondering when this little guy will actually get here and he made a big deal about not wanting to induce me. I'm wondering who said anything about being induced?
Well, everyone have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Should be...(fill in the blank)
Right now I'm listening to Corban cry himself to sleep in his new room and blogging while I should be doing a thousand other things. Tomorrow morning I have a doctor's appointment and then I have to get ready to leave Friday morning and I have to babysit in the afternoon. As mentioned above, we have put up Corban's new crib and tonight is his first night in the "new" room. I feel horrible because it's so plain in there. Eventually I'm going to have both boys in that room each in a twin bed, so I'm looking for bedding for that and I don't want to get anything until I am getting what I know I want. So that means I haven't gotten curtains or painted the walls either. We're going to try to move some things around to make it feel a little more like his space, but for now it is what it is.
We're leaving Friday morning for Williamsport. Johnny wants to spend some time fishing with his dad and his cousin is coming home on leave from Iraq, so they're having a big party for him on Sunday. Right now I'm wondering how Corban and I are going to fill up an entire week, but I'm sure we'll stay busy. Maybe while we're "vacationing" I can get some pictures taken so you guys can see how big my belly has gotten. As of Saturday I'll only have 8 weeks to go!

Well, last night was horrible. It actually started out pretty decent. During the day I had gotten banana bread muffins made for fellowship at church today, I had gotten the bulletin done, made brownies and chicken enchiladas for dinner. Johnny helped do the floors and the house looked pretty decent. We had Craig and Diana over for echiladas and just had a very nice evening. Corban went down like a dream at 9 o'clock and Johnny and I watched CSI (anybody think Warrick is going to live?) and went to bed around 11. At 1 my little angel decided to wake up. He cried himself back to sleep, but woke up again at 1:45. I went in and checked on him and he was fine, went back to sleep. Woke up again, and I was trying to let Johnny get some rest because he gets up so early on Sundays. Anyway, somwhere around 4:45 or so Corban and I finally went back to sleep in the guest bedroom. He slept until 8:30 - wish I could get him to do that without the waking up in between! Today he's been in quite the mood too, so we'll see how he is after this nap.
Today is the Penguins game! We actually get this one b/c it's not on versus. I guess after this it's straight to the Stanley Cup. I think hockey is the one sport Johnny and I could really get into together. I don't love football and he hates soccer and let's face it, baseball is just too boring. So it looks like hockey is out thing. I'm hoping the weather clears up enough so that we can take
Corban outside for a while today. It's been so yucky lately that we've been cooped up inside for several days, we all need to breathe a little fresh air.

Did I mention that my husband has horrible luck? He was at jury duty Wednesday and actually got to leave because the people settled. As he was leaving though, he couldn't remember where he had parked the truck. He finally just got off of the elevator and hit the panic button and figured out he was off by one level. Anyway, he got in the truck to leave and the guy next to him had parked really close to him and there were concrete barriers on either side of him. Of course, as he was watching one, he hit the other. It scraped the bed right in front of the tire. It's not horrible and we could live with the dent, but where it scraped the paint off has to be fixed or it will end up rusting. It doesn't help that the next afternoon I bumped one of the cars at the house where I babysit. It pushed the grill in, but it just popped right back into place.
Other than vehicle mishaps we've been doing well. Corban is back to himself and after a few afternoon naps, so am I. He's trying so hard to talk, but nobody other than Johnny or I would know it. He was asking for yogurt yesterday afternoon and this morning, but all he really gets out is the "g" sound, so it just sounds like he's growling. He has started to call me "Mom." He only does it when I ask him to and I'm still working on it being Mama or Mommy, but for now I guess I've got to be happy with Mom. Have a good weekend everybody!

Jury Duty
Today Johnny had to report for jury duty. I didn't think there was any way he would ever get picked, but he does have the crappiest luck. He called a little after noon and said that he's on the jury. We're hoping that it doesn't last very long because we've got a trip to Williamsport planned for the end of next week.
Corban is taking an incredible nap right now, and I got to take one too! It's after 12:30 and he's been asleep since 10! When I laid him down I went straight to my bed and got about an hour's nap then I got up and got ready and I've just been messing on the computer since. I need to go eat lunch so that I can feed him when he wakes up. He's been doing much better with his eating lately, but he seems to want to eat all of the time! Some of the things I'm shocked he likes: asparagus, mushrooms, and grapefruit. He's not much on roast or steaks or pork chops. I think that no matter how tender they are and how small the bitese are, they're still too tough for him to get chewed up. I'm looking forward to trying him with lima beans - Mommy's favorite!

Coming Undone
I thought last night was going to be great. Corban took an exceptionally long nap so Johnny and I got to eat dinner and watch a show. When he woke up though, he seriously broke down. Nothing we did would calm him down. He didn't want held but he didn't want down, he didn't want to eat, he didn't want milk. He literally wandered around the house screaming and would stop and put his little forhead against the wall and just cry. It was the most horrible thing we have ever experienced with him. Honestly, it was worse than when he was actually sick and throwing up. He finally calmed down though and ate some dinner and got a bath - that really seemed to make him feel better. We're wondering if he didn't wake up with a major headache - I think he's got some outdoor allergies.
Today has been OK. I don't work Tuesdays, but we did a premarital counseling session this morning while Corban was napping and Johnny went to the hospital and came back for a different group of premarital. Corban only took a half hour nap this afternoon, but he's standing at the door watching Johnny mow the yard. I've never seen him stand in one place for that long ever. I'm going to go start dinner in a bit. Johnny's gonna grill some pork chops and I'll take care of the veggies. Tomorrow he has to go to jury duty, so Corban and I are on our own. I'm debating going to the mall or something just to get out for a while.

The weekend turned out to be pretty OK. My doctor's visit on Friday was just what I thought it would be - it took longer to get checked in than it did to actually see the doctor. By the time I got back from babysitting, Johnny's parents were here. Friday night we ordered in subs and just hung out. Saturday Johnny and John tried to go fishing, but it had been raining too much so they ended up coming home early. We didn't end up getting to go to the air show because Corban woke up from his nap so late :( Maybe next year. Carolyn and Susan Fitzroy came back VERY sunburned, which made me glad we didn't go b/c I'm not sure I would have thought to keep enough sunblock on Corban. Anyway, we went to the park instead and then to the Outback to eat dinner.
Sunday after church (I had to keep the nursery), we came home and did burgers on the grill. They were yummy and I think I enjoyed them more than the Outback. After Johnny's parents left we had a few hours to hang out until we went to Mark's for the Penguins game. Corban was VERY well behaved - he didn't try to pull one thing off of a shelf and he didn't mind the dog barking at him at all. We didn't get to watch Survivor until this morning - I can't believe that Parv won! I was actually wanting Cirie to get it and Johnny wanted Amanda. I did see in one of the commercials that Big Brother is coming on again July 13th... that might be a bit too soon, but I know I'll end up watching it anyway!
Well, I've got to get going soon to pick up Nina. Oh, I have to do games for a baby shower soon. Anybody done anything new or different at a shower recently?

Well, I'm headed to the doctor's this morning. I'm sure it will be a 5 minute deal, which is so annoying, but I want to make sure our boy is doing OK! Last night Johnny got to watch him do a little jig in my belly - the boy was going crazy! Our other boy hasn't been doing so hot though. He's had a cough for a couple of days but he's been sleeping OK. Last night though, was a different story. I finally brought him into bed with us so that we could all get a little bit of sleep. It was MISERABLE! He's acting much better this morning, so we'll see how things go. Today I have to babysit, but Johnny is probably going to keep Corban because his parents are going to be in this weekend and will be getting here before I get done with work. Depending on the weather and how Corban is feeling we might go to an airshow tomorrow! I've always wanted to go to one and the Fitzroy's were telling us about this one going on out by the airport tomorrow! I hoping that we can do that - plus it's FREE entertainment and nothing beats free!
Just a few personal notes:
Susan - good luck or break a leg or whatever :) I wish I was going to be able to be there to hear you, because I'm sure you'll be wonderful!
Kim - have fun at the wedding. Tell Cameron I said HI
Sherry and Kerry - Since I won't be able to be there, give my Mom, Nanny, and Mammaw an extra hug for me tomorrow. And throw an extra one in there for your Mom too!

This week is a crazy one! Seems like we've got something going on every second of every day, and Corban still hasn't been sleeping great. Oh well, I guess we'll have that! Today is babysitting and small group and a trip to Wal-Mart. Tomorrow is MOPS and babysitting and maybe a trip to Babies R Us and Johnny's going to be out of the house most of the day. Friday is my doctor's appointment and babysitting and Johnny's parents are going to be here before I get back from work. Not to mention that I have to get the house clean at some point before they get here.
The doctor's office called this morning and my glucose test was good! Thank goodness I don't have to do the 4 hour test! Libby does though and she has issues with needles, so keep her in your thoughts. They did tell me I'm a little anemic so I've got to start taking some iron supplements. That's not a big deal, but I'm afraid they'll make me sick like the prenatals did at first.
Last night I put a plate on my belly so that Johnny could watch Caden kicking it around. He's getting busy in there!
A big shout-out to Carter Kenney - he officially turns one today!

What a beautiful morning! Not that the weather is nice, but it's 7:30 and Corban is still asleep! I think he's finally getting to feel a little bit better and hopefully this will be the norm again. If a neighbor's car alarm hadn't gone off at 3:30 I would have had just about a perfect night's sleep, which hasn't happened for a long time, and I don't really expect to happen very often for about the next year :)
This weekend has been pretty boring. Friday Johnny went to the guy's fly shop who taught his fly tying class, he came home for lunch, and left again to fish with Luke. THEN he came home at 11 and said that Sean was going to show Iron Man at 1 am and he went to that and didn't come home until 4. Of course then I was awake and Corban woke up at 5 and didn't go back to sleep until I finally broke down and brought him into bed with me at 6:30. I hate doing that, but Mama had to get some rest!
Saturday when Corban went down for his morning nap, so did Mom and Dad. We all stayed in bed until after noon, which felt amazing. After I got the bulletin done we went to Wal-Mart and ran a few errands before Johnny cooked dinner. We had thawed out some of our steaks from Mom and Dad's beef - they were as big as my freaking head! Seriously, we could have fed 8 people easy on two Ribeye! I think we're going to have left-over steak coming out our ears before the end of this week, but man, were they good.
No plans today, other than church. I'm hoping to get Corban's crib set up today. Johnny's parents will be visiting next weekend, so we won't move him into that room yet, but I would like to be getting everything done so that we can move him soon. I want him to be completely used to and comfortable in his new room before Caden comes along. Well, I've got to get finished getting ready before Corban wakes up.

I got it done! I cleaned my kitchen, folded a load of laundry and started another one, and even picked up the living room (the only thing really ever in the living room anymore is Corban's toys).
I'm "working" on the bulletin now... and just got an email from my friend Jen (Buckland) Philips and she's pregnant again too! Babies, babies, babies are everywhere! Well, Corban is going to wake up soon, so I've honestly got to get the bulletin done.

There are about five thousand things I need to be doing right now, but I can't pull myself away from the computer. Corban is asleep, Johnny is gone, and I've actually had a shower; I could be crossing stuff off of my list. I guess Corban is teething - he's been cranky and waking up early and he has had some diahrea. I guess it could be worse, but I really would like to get this over with so that I've got my sweet, waking up at 7 instead of 6, baby boy back.
Well, I guess I had better at least get my dishes done and my kitchen floor cleaned up. Seems like I'm having a great day if I get those two things done.

Tuesday we went out for our birthday and Luke and Nadine kept Corban. We went to see a movie - Forbidden Kingdom. It's silly, but it was OK. Then we went to the Olive Garden for dinner and Dairy Queen for dessert. I actually brought half of my dinner and half of my ice cream home, so I had a good lunch yesterday! While with Luke and Nadine, Corban did well. I guess he ate a ton for them - which he is not doing for us. I think he had something like two meatballs, some spaghetti, the peas and fruit cup I had sent, a string cheese, cheese puffs, and half an oreo cookie. When Nadine was getting into the fridge he also got a big handful of her leftover lemon tart and shoved it in his mouth.
Yesterday was pretty uneventful. We babysat Nina, he came home and took a nap while Johnny and I ate dinner, and when I got back home from taking Nina home, we went to our small group. They had a birthday cake for us there, and I realized while I was eating it that it was my third dessert of the day. I had been doing so good about not eating all of the junk, but that has kind of gone out the window.
Johnny is going fishing tomorrow, so that means we've got a whole day to ourselves. I'm not sure what we're goign to do, espcially since it's been so cold outside lately and I don't have any shopping I need to do. I guess we'll come up with something though.
